All university affiliates are eligible to purchase work-at-home copies of Microsoft Office (for Windows and Mac) and Microsoft Windows Vista on DVD media for personal, non-commercial use. Previously, media was only available for purchase via CatCash from the IT Services Help Desk. In order to make purchasing the media more widely available to distance students as well as our local students, staff, and faculty, IT has moved the media sales to the Bookstore.
Registration and Payment
As before, there is still a registration process for requesting the media for purchase. This can be completed online before your visit to the Bookstore or from a kiosk station located within the store. The online registration link also is available at http://www.wcu.edu/10608.asp. Media can be purchased using any payment method accepted by the Bookstore: cash, check, credit, and CatCash.
Help for Students
Students needing assistance with installing the media may visit the Student Computing C.R.I.B located at the Cat’s Den. Hours of operation are:
Monday-Thursday: 1 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Friday: 1 p.m.-7 p.m.
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: 5 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
