During the winter holiday break, the equipment available for checkout at the Hunter Library Circulation Desk was moved downstairs into the newly renovated Technology Commons. This equipment checkout service will now be available at the Technology Commons Service Desk for students, faculty and staff (pictured at right).

The Technology Commons is now the location for all of the following services:

  • Student/faculty/staff IT walk-up assistance
  • Class TIPS support for students
  • eBriefcase support for students
  • Equipment checkout
  • Computer troubleshooting and repair for students (formerly the CRIB)
  • Computers for student use (formerly Hunter Lab)

As part of the service changeover, all of the equipment is being evaluated so that a decision can be made as to whether or not each item is in suitable condition for further use. For this reason, a large portion of the equipment is currently unavailable. IT is working as fast as possible to get the equipment evaluated and replaced if necessary but, for the short term, only the 18 Dell Netbooks may be checked out. The rest of the equipment will be made available as it is verified to be working or when replaced.

Please pardon any inconvenience this service interruption causes. For questions about the equipment, contact either Zach Phillips or Colby Deitz at 227-7487.
