The Division of IT (DoIT) has a project underway to test Microsoft Office 2016.  Once testing is complete, our projection is to make Office 2016 available to current and newly purchased  WCU-owned Dell/Apple faculty and staff computers during the Spring 2016 semester.  We then plan to transition IT-supported classrooms and Open Access Student Labs by the start of the Fall 2016 semester.

Microsoft Office 2016 may have compatibility issues with the software and services you use on campus. Once these issues have been identified and assessed, DoIT will offer Office 2016 upgrade assistance.

Should I upgrade my computer to Office 2016? At this time, we recommend that you DO NOT UPGRADE to Office 2016. Over the next few months, DoIT will be testing Office 2016 with our services. Once DoIT completes testing, an announcement will come out to campus for faculty and staff that would like upgrade existing university owned to Office 2016.  Newly purchased Dell/Apple computers will come with Office 2016.
