WCU’s High Performance Research Computing Services kicks off with Amazon Web Services Immersion Days on October 21 and 22. To Register, visit http://relus.com/relus-learning-labs/.  During the spring of 2014, the Academic Engagement and IT Governance office performed a Faculty IT Research Needs study, where it concluded faculty needed high performance computing for scholarly research.  To that end, WCU’s High Performance Research Computing (HPRC) Services will be working with Relus Technologies and Amazon Web Services to host a Hands-On-Learning Lab beginning at noon on October 21 in Cordelia Camp room 134 with a boxed lunch and continuing in room 139 through 5:00. The learning lab will continue on October 22 beginning at 9:00 in room 134 for coffee/donuts and continue in room 139 until 1:00. This event is for faculty and Staff to learn more about Amazon Web Services and high performance processing. Attendees MUST Register in advance.
