Blue Coat Proxy Client

Service Description

The Blue Coat Proxy Client is a small piece of software that screens web traffic for viruses and spyware.


Occasionally this software will need to connect to an on-campus appliance to receive updates, but this should happen unnoticed and in the background.

Download Blue Coat Proxy Client for your personally-owned Windows computer.

Service Availability

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of scheduled maintenance.

IT’s Role

Maintain the infrastructure, provide service availability, troubleshoot and support.

Access this Service

Available to WCU faculty, staff and students as a free download on personally-owned computers.
