Modern authentication service is available for most web and cloud based applications as well as the university’s standard authentication service. Service provides a common, secure, central login service for local and cloud based application authentication and authentication services for federated, collaborative applications utilized by UNC universities and UNC GA or other entities that are part of the InCommon Federation. Authentication Services Offered: Shibboleth, ADFS, and InCommon Federation Services.
Eligibility
Faculty and/or staff may request information about current campus applications or consultation when purchasing applications.
Service Availability
Consulting on Authentication Services available by appointment Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
IT’s Role
Identity Management Service provides authentication service, account creation, account management, and data integration with source systems such as Banner and Active Directory.
Support
IT offers consulting on new and current applications and how you can benefit from Single Sign-On (SSO).
