The Curative Analysis team in IT is tasked with finding the causes of significant IT issues that affect campus. In this news update, we draw your attention to some of the problems being investigated or issues handled recently.

Aruba Wireless Access Points: A known issue with some of the Aruba wireless access points on campus have recently resulted in an unexpected loss of connectivity for some clients. Aruba will be releasing a new firmware update to resolve the issue, and the new update will be applied by Networking staff as soon as possible to prevent further interruption in connectivity.

Off-Campus Fax: Clients were recently unable to send and receive faxes to and from off-campus numbers. The issue was related to the absence of a firewall rule that was preventing the fax server to communicate with the gateway. Networking staff were able to recreate the firewall rule which allowed communication, and faxed started working again.
