The Curative Analysis team in IT is tasked with finding the causes of significant IT issues that affect campus. In this news update, we draw your attention to some of the problems being investigated or issues handled recently.

VCAT Graphics Licenses :  On July 7, we began receiving reports that the NVIDIA Grid licenses on VCAT were displaying a license expiration error, and users were unable to access these graphics resources on VCAT. New licenses were quickly purchased and put in place during the data center maintenance window on July 10. To mitigate this issue in the future, we have placed the renewal on our roadmaps and set up calendar reminders.

eduroam Network Setup:  On July 22, a change was deployed to prepare WCU computers for future network authentication. The change made changes to the network configuration which caused some users to receive an error message when trying to run through the SecureW2 Network Setup Tool at https://wireless.wcu.edu/. IT staff rolled back the change to stop the change on additional computers and met with clients to correct any problems that they encountered.
