The Curative Analysis team in IT is tasked with finding the causes of significant IT issues that affect campus. In this news update, we draw your attention to some of the problems being investigated or issues handled recently.

GlobalProtect for Mac:  On April 4, several users experienced an issue on Macs after connecting to GlobalProtect. A GlobalProtect login box continued to pop up repeatedly. Networking staff determined that a recently upgraded certificate had an expiration date further in the future than the root certificate. Networking staff generated a new certificate chain for GlobalProtect and deployed it to campus.

myWCU:  On March 27, come users experiencing issues logging into myWCU. IT staff identified a temporary outage of backend services that myWCU relies on which impacted a select number of users for approximately 45 minutes.

IdentityManager:  On March 11, myidm.wcu.edu/IdentityManager began having intermittent issues loading parts of the application. Granting access to file shares, Banner groups, and requesting student worker accounts was impacted or delayed.
